Cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulated wire is the most common wire for 12vDC automotive circuits due to its thin profile, reliability, and low cost. MGI SpeedWare high-temperature, thin-wall GXL wire is rated 257°F (125°C) and is ideal for hot engine compartments and general wiring. With proven automotive performance and shape retaining design, GXL primary wire is the go-to wiring for hard-to-fit areas in cars, trucks, trailers, boats, and much more.

PREMIUM GXL

Thin wall GXL is flexible, shape-retaining, and easy to handle. GXL’s characteristic cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation also provides high-temperature protection up to 257°F (125°C).

STRANDED COPPER

Pure, high-quality stranded copper means reliable wiring every time. Meets or exceeds SAEJ1126, ESB-M1L85A, and MS-8900 specifications. Although advertised for 12vDC, GXL wire can handle up to 50vDC.

EASY TO USE

Primary GXL wire is the go-to wiring for hard-to-fit areas in cars, trucks, trailers, boats, and much more. Strips beautifully and can be run neatly given it’s ability to retain shape. Available in multiple colors and sizes.
